Hilary Tipps

Hilary's musical journey began in an unexpected way. As a shy child, she was assessed for musical talent in second grade and found to have none. However, a few years later, she discovered her singing voice and spent many joyful years with the Texas Girls Choir, where she learned to embrace performance. Singing at church further fueled her passion, and in high school, she expanded her artistic horizons by diving into acting.

At 19, Hilary began writing songs, and by 23, she had recorded her first album. Although she shifted her focus to acting and comedy improvisation for several years, her songwriting never fully faded. In 2022, she reunited with her musical roots, and began collaborating with her partner.

Hilary's songs tell stories infused with emotional intelligence and charm. As John Apice from Americana Highways notes, her “gospel-tinted vocals are awesome,” and her voice “comes through honestly with no effects required.”

Through her songwriting, Hilary aims to make listeners feel seen, granting them permission to be more joyful and vulnerable. She believes that each song offers a unique experience, resonating differently with everyone based on their individual journeys. With a focus on capturing specific yet universal moments, Hilary’s music invites listeners to explore the beauty of their own stories.
