From an early age being drawn to a variety of musical styles from Waylon Jennings to Van Halen to Steely Dan, Steve always had a notion that he couldn't live without music. His love for the guitar came early, as did his intrigue with the craft of songwriting. But it wasn't until his late thirties that he began to pursue it seriously.

Always the songwriter on a stool, he also dabbled in rock and roll bands: forming,
writing for, and performing with southern rock buddies Barefootin' Texas and later with the self-described "stanky rock and roll" band of his almost namesake, Überdüber. He released one album and two EPs respectively with these projects. In between, he released a solo EP, "No Good", in 2011.

Now collaborating with Hilary, he has a partner who has taken his songs to a new level. With their release of "Love (and other mysteries)" he has embarked on a new path filled with boundless songwriting possibilities.
